Outpost Coffee Roasters is located at 1578 Bloor St West, Toronto, ON, near Bloor St West and Dundas St West, and is open seven days per week from 07:30 to 17:30 (except major holidays).

Where do you get your coffee?

We roast our own coffee and select beans from quality-focused Canadian importers to maintain a diverse portfolio from all growing regions.

Where do you sell your coffee?

Outpost Coffee sells coffee in its café at 1578 Bloor Street West and online at outpostcoffee.com, and select coffees are available at several partner locations.

Do you offer a Wholesale coffee programme?

Yes, we serve specialty-grade coffee to coffee shops, restaurants, and offices. We work with them to develop their café menu. We help them source equipment and train their team of baristas. Contact us for details.

Do you ship your coffee?

Outpost Coffee ships across Canada to all ten provinces and three territories, but does not ship internationally or to the US.

Do you sell whole bean or ground coffee?

We offer both whole bean and ground coffee, with coffees kept as whole bean until a preferred grind is selected on the product page.

What are your most popular coffees?

Some of our most popular coffees are Underdog Espresso and Cachoeira Da Grama, which are medium roast and suitable for all brewing methods.

Do you carry decaffeinated coffee?

Yes, we carry a versatile decaf called The Fakeout and occasionally feature premium decaf lots because we believe decaf deserves respect.

Do you carry organic coffee?

Yes, we regularly carry organic coffees and clearly label them, though not all coffees are certified organic due to cost constraints for farmers.

Do you use Arabica or Robusta coffee?

All our single origin coffees and blends use Arabica beans; we prefer Arabica for its flavor variety and sweetness, though small amounts of Robusta may be used in some blends.

How long should coffee rest before brewing?

We recommend letting coffee rest at least three days after roast for filter methods and at least six days for espresso to allow off‑gassing.

How long will coffee taste good after opening?

We recommend consuming coffee within 30 days of the roast date and resealing the bag between uses for freshness.

What is your roast schedule?

Outpost Coffee roasts three days per week — Monday, Wednesday, and Friday — and ships on those days, with fresh roasts appearing in the café in the afternoon.

What is the difference between white and black label coffees?

White label coffees are available year‑round such as espresso and filter blends, while black label coffees are rare, limited offerings with unique profiles.

What is a single‑origin coffee?

Single‑origin coffee comes from one traceable source, showcasing unique characteristics of that origin, and is roasted to highlight those features.

Are your bags recyclable or biodegradable?

Our coffee bags are recyclable and blue‑bin friendly in Canadian recycling streams, made with minimum waste and efficient design.

Can I pick up my online order at the store?

Yes, you can choose Local Pickup when placing an order online and receive a confirmation when your order is ready for pickup at our café/roastery.

Do you bake your pastries and treats in house?

Yes, we make our own scones, cookies, brownies, and squares from scratch and also carry products from other local bakers for items beyond our current capabilities.

What is this thing we call Fancy Milk?

You may have seen at Outpost Coffee Roasters we carry Sheldon Creek Dairy milk, which we have named 'fancy milk' or 'raw milk' (as close to raw as you are legally allowed here) this rich milk is perfect for making your flat white or cortado much creamer. Sheldon Creek milk is non homogenized, leaving milkfat globules intact to carry important nutrients like Vitamins A & D to the body. The Sheldon milk is enzyme-rich due to their pasteurization process, in which they heat the milk to 73 degrees celsius for just 16 seconds. These enzymes are crucial for digestion, as they assimilate nutrients into the body. This flash pasteurization process kills harmful bacteria, without harming enzymes. Since the milk is left in its natural form any people who have had issues drinking milk or milk allergies have been able to drink Sheldon Creek's milk!
