Finca Hamburgo was founded in 1888. Mr. Arthur Edelmann, from Perleberg, Germany, accepted an invitation from the Mexican Government to come work and create jobs in the highlands of Soconusco, a region located within the municipality of Tapachula in the state of Chiapas.

Today the fourth generation of the farm is run by Thomas Edelmann Blass. The farm is divided into three properties (Hamburgo, Chiripa and Sonora). The total acreage is 290 hectares and employs around 500 people. Only arabica are grown on the property, which produce an annual yield of about 700 to 850 tons.

In addition to numerous awards, Finca Hamburgo also participated in Mexico's first "Cup of Excellence" in 2012. Another confirmation of the excellent quality this farm has to offer.
